An enthusiastic crowd in Lansing, Michigan applauds Amy reading her fiction.

Aimee Bender and Amy Sumerton at Aimee Bender's reading in Bowling Green, Ohio. Amy S. has just had her copy of The Girl in the Flammable Skirt signed by Aimee B.

Roy Kesey's Story, "Levee" will appear in issue six of Orchid. He lives in China with his children Tom and Chloe.

Amy demonstrates one of her many talents. In addition to playing cello, she trains ladybugs. Look for her in the sequel to Geek Love.

This is Walter.

We thought that it was time to express a different artistic view of our staff. Here's Amy doing who knows what.

Nothing in the World a novella by Roy Kesey is now available. You can read more about it at http://nothingintheworld.com. We just wonder what the deal is with Orchid authors having books with pears on the cover. Also check out Orchid number six with Roy's outstanding story, "Levee."

The Prisoner Pear is a new collection by Elissa Minor Rust. We like this outstanding collection of stories and we’re especially proud because the collection includes “Iris and Megan Imagine Alternatives” which first appeared in issue five of Orchid. The Prisoner Pear is well reviewed in Curve magazine and The New York Times Book Review, among others and many of the reviews reference “Iris and Megan Imagine Alternatives” by name.

An oil rendering of Keith reading. Ahhh, bliss.

Just who is Matt Gelzer? One of these four images? The bearded image holding a copy of issue 5? No one seems to know, least of all Matt himself.
